Armlocks (Need updating)

The following make up some of the arm locks you may need to know. (This is by no means a complete list of all arm locks). This is given for information purposes only - you should not try any part of this unless you know what you are doing.

1 - Put the lock on by raising/rotating your arms up (your shoulders barely move, then ends of your hands move alot) - not by standing up or hunching your shoulders upwards or tensing every muscle possible. Don't forget to step in with your outside foot. [martin]

2 - Similar to arm lock 1 but from the other side. Try to bring their weight onto their leg nearest to you and put the weight of their body through their locked up arm. [martin]

6 - Make sure your shoes have been cleaned properly before letting go. [martin]
The old arm up around their back routine. Pull their head upwards to really get the lock on and stop them escaping. [martin]

7 - Keep their arm nice and straight. Try and get your elbow on the back of their elbow. [martin]

8 - Keep their arm nice and straight, elbow facing upwards. [martin]
